Redmine Privacy Browser Android - Bug #1183 (New): Unten scrollen, wischen funktioniert nichthttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/11832024-03-25T08:39:20ZChungaa Boy

Privacy Browser Android - Feature #1182 (New): Look into removing all of the bitmap drawableshttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/11822024-03-19T20:59:01ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com

Most of them are vectored images, but a few bitmaps remain.

It might now be possible to use vectors natively in some cases, and in others they can be converted at runtime with something similar to:

AppCompatResources.getDrawable(requireContext(), R.drawable.folder)!!.toBitmap(64, 64, Bitmap.Config.ARGB_8888)
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #1174 (New): Provide share link in "Save URL" dialoghttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/11742024-02-25T14:10:37Zask lowPrivacy Browser Android - Bug #1171 (New): background open doesn't work after used once per tabhttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/11712024-02-21T14:22:05Zask lowPrivacy Browser Android - Feature #1169 (New): Color the status bar on proxy changehttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/11692024-02-16T16:56:56Zask lowPrivacy Browser Android - Feature #1164 (New): Add all the Sec-* header nonsense to View Headershttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/11642024-02-07T02:30:36ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com

Currently, it only does what is listed in the settings. But we could make it so the settings controls what happens when the last tab is closed from the app bar and Clear and Exit clears everything. This would allow users a relatively quick way to access either behavior.
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #1159 (New): Display the file name when settings are exportedhttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/11592024-01-25T19:49:12ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com

Currently it just says, "Export successful." But because the name is long and not easily visible on the previous screen, it would be nice to display it in the snackbar.
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #1157 (New): Allow rendering images below specified sizehttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/11572024-01-21T01:58:13Zask lowPrivacy Browser Android - Feature #1155 (New): Consider adding a domain setting to always open li...https://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/11552024-01-18T07:42:04Zask low

Under favicons of each tab, show an orb for the number of history count (if possible through native android libraries), so that managing memory by closing that tab in order to not hog SISB fillup.

ALTERNATIVE¶

To achieve this browsing hygiene, currently we need to limit the amount of tabs opened, as well as the favicon history in each tab by accessing History in the sidebar. This feature request tries to enhance the latter.
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #1129 (New): Implement Translate APIhttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/11292023-11-28T01:58:17Zask low

Why I need¶

My friends & some of my family liked Privacy Browser, but they're expecting automatic webpage translate in native language script like how google does in chrome.

Possible Solution¶

There's LibreTranslate API
https://libretranslate.com/
Already used by minbrowser on linux.
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #565 (New): See if it is possible to download a file contained ...https://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/5652020-05-04T02:34:20ZPhilippe Monroux

(finally able to activate my account)

I would see as a good feature to have URL manipulation done automatic by the browser, based on domain rules.
Case in point, Invidious

It could turn this: https://invidio.us/watch?v=Yw6u6YkTgQ4
into this: https://invidio.us/watch?v=Yw6u6YkTgQ4&listen=1&autoplay=1

which would make it possible to, without using cookies or javascript, always have invidious play only the sound and start playing on its own. Other options are available this is only an example. I also think other websites might have some tweaks that would be interesting to use this feature.
Also, I see it as a fitting feature for the 3.x version, since the browser already does URL manipulation (to remove facebook tracking and such). Meaning it would hardly require Privacy View. Please correct me if wrong.

Thanks.

It might be possible to use the `-v color` option, although I am not sure how to pass the color information on to the TextView.

https://developer.android.com/studio/command-line/logcat#outputFormat

It looks like a bunch of other logcat programs manually set the text color.
