Redmine Privacy Browser Android - Feature #180 (New): Allow any filter list that uses the Adblock format.https://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/1802017-08-18T16:32:50ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com

Any list using the Adblock format should be compatible.

I believe this was removed from the Android Webview back in Kitkat, but I know some browsers have been able to implement their own version of it despite that. It would be great to have some text reflow functionality added to Privacy Browser at some point. Not sure what sort of work would be required for it, though.
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #151 (New): URL bar shortcuts for websites and search engineshttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/1512017-06-20T16:02:16ZBrian Toole

This is functionality that I haven't quite seen yet in a mobile browser, but it does exist in desktop browsers (such as Vivaldi). Allow the user to define multiple custom search engines, and provide each with a shortcut so when you search for something, you can type the shortcut followed by the search criteria.

For example, define search engines (or actual search URLs, however necessary) as so:

Google g
Startpage s
Bing b
Duckduckgo ddg

Then type search criteria such as:

"g Portland, Oregon" - searches for "Portland, Oregon" using Google
"ddg search engines" - searches for "search engines" using Duckduckgo

I don't know how easy this would be to implement in a mobile browser, but in Vivaldi, you just give a friendly name, the URL, and a shortcut.
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #149 (New): Add custom animationshttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/1492017-06-14T01:30:07ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com

Add animations to icons, activities, fragments, TextViews, EditTexts, etc.
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #88 (New): Convert the settings into a two-paned configurationhttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/882017-02-17T22:12:18ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com

Change the settings to be a two-paned configuration.

https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/ui/settings.html
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #86 (New): Create a rolling fork of WebView called Privacy WebViewhttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/862017-02-13T17:08:40ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com

This will be a rolling fork composed of a series of minimally invasive patches that will be rebased on each upstream release of Android's WebView. API compatibility will be maintained with WebView, in the sense that no methods will be removed (although some might become a NOOP or otherwise be modified). New methods will also be added providing increased privacy controls. This design will allow Privacy WebView to replace Android's WebView on custom ROMs without breaking other programs that use WebView.
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #76 (New): Display Image Title Text via the Context Menuhttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/762016-12-06T06:16:08ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com

Add an entry in the image context menu to display the image title text (eg. the mousover text on XKCD comics).
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #65 (New): Reorder Bookmarks by Dragginghttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/652016-10-05T18:47:43ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com

Allow reordering of bookmarks by dragging, similar to the Android language list.
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #62 (New): Add an option to disable WebRTChttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/622016-09-15T04:55:08ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com

WebRTC can leak local IP information even when using Orbot. Either we need to find a way to proxy it as well (perhaps with SOCKS) or disable it.

https://ipleak.net/

WebRTC only works when JavaScript is enabled.
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #51 (New): Use SSL Certificates for Authenticationhttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/512016-08-23T21:46:06ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com

https://developer.android.com/reference/android/webkit/WebViewClient.html#onReceivedClientCertRequest(android.webkit.WebView, android.webkit.ClientCertRequest)
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #37 (New): Competely remove the X-Requested-With headerhttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/372016-06-28T18:15:10ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com

By default, WebView sends an X-Requested-With header with the application ID (com.stoutner.privacybrowser.standard) with every page load. It looks like it is possible to change the header, but not to leave it out (Lightning sends the header with a null value).

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/17832313/android-disable-x-requested-with-header-in-webview

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7610790/add-custom-headers-to-webview-resource-requests-android#comment10183596_8209272

At a minimum, it would be nice to allow the user to set a custom header. Ultimately, we might need to embed a custom WebView to get full control of the functionality.
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #35 (New): Form Data Managementhttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/352016-06-27T19:15:02ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com

Create an interface for viewing and managing form data.
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #34 (New): WebView Cache Controlshttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/342016-06-27T17:23:17ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com

Create controls for handling WebView's cache.
Privacy Browser Android - Feature #6 (New): Fine grained DOM storage interfacehttps://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/62016-03-03T03:55:55ZSoren Stoutnersoren@stoutner.com
