I was wondering if it's possible to move the "clean and exit" feature somewhere in the home page with a specific button or through a swipe-up gesture to close running app instead of in the drop menu on the left. It would be easier and quicker in this way, wouldn't you?
Currently, if you only have one tab open, tapping the close tab X button also runs Clear and Exit. In that sense, there is already a button on the main screen.
Adding a separate, dedicated button, would use too much screen real estate on small devices.
And using a gesture would result in too many people accidentally closing the app when they didn't intend to, which is an unacceptable outcome. Especially with Android 10's gesture interface.
However, if you can think of some way of doing it that addresses these concerns, I would be happy to hear it. Also, you might be interested in reading https://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/416.
