Custom headers not being applied on link loaded from a WebView

Description

They are only being applied on links loaded from the URL bar.

For example, the X-Requested-With header is not being modified on links loaded from within the WebView.

This also has the positive side-effect of adding some redirects to the URL history that previously weren't added. Note that not all redirects are added. https://redmine.stoutner.com/issues/581
