Feature #633

Restore edits in the URL bar when switching tabs.

Description
Currently, the URL that is loaded in the WebView is restored to the URL bar when a tab is switched. This means that if the user has modified the URL, then switches tabs, then switches back, their edits are lost.
I am not certain I want to change the current behavior. I have created this feature request to see what feedback I receive from users about the issue.
- Status changed from New to Feedback
I kind of like the current behavior because it allows users to restore the visibility of the current URL if they have started changing it simply by switching tabs and switching back. Otherwise it wouldn't be possible to restore the current URL without refreshing the webpage, which isn't always desirable.
- Status changed from Feedback to New
- Priority changed from 3.x to Next Release
This behavior didn't really bother me in Privacy Browser Android, but I have discovered it very bothersome in Privacy Browser PC (because my workflow on a desktop is different).
Feature #1231: Restore the current URL text when switching tabs
Because I generally want to maintain feature parity between Privacy Browser Android and Privacy Browser PC (unless there is a really good reason not to do so), I am going to implement it here as well.
