I'm not sure how this interface works ?

Can I post a follow up issue that I discovered from this solution.

I see how the long click works to open bookmark in new tab. Great.

But I also have a tendency to click the back arrow on tabs that are at the top of their history. This closes the tab completely.

Can the back arrow work as normal to climb the history back to the top, and if one is already at the top on that tab, change the focus to the previous or tab to the left and not closed the current tab.

If I don't make sense, please let me know and I will try to explain better.

Using the system back command to close tabs is one of my favorite parts of Privacy Browser and one of what I consider to be the best parts of its user interface. As such, I am unlikely to change that behavior. However, if you like, you can open up a separate feature request for that issue and I might be willing to consider it if enough people express interest.

I guess my crutch is that I spend more time with Private Browser on an older small moto-e phone with and earlier version with no tabs, just single page (2.8.1). Limited memory and screen space there so I am fine with that version there. And on that I constantly go to bookmarks and 'back click' return to the original home page therein.

For me if I want to close a page you have the 'X' on the left to use.

It would be nice to have a choice as to your 'close' choice or my suggestion to go to previous tab if history is at top level.

If you would like to discuss this further, please create a separate feature request. It makes it really difficult to organize things if feature requests handle more than one issue.

Some of us are just too old to learn new stuff. I guess this means I can't write again.

I don't fully understand. If you are referring to creating a new issue, you can do it by clicking on Issues at the top of the page (or in the overflow menu on the right if you are using a small phone screen) and then clicking on the New Issue button at the upper right (or upper left on a phone).

Oh no! Would you please consider re-adding the feature that allowed long pressing bookmarks to open them in the background? (At least as an option, if you don't want it as the default.) I found that feature to be extremely useful for years -- as did several of my work colleagues (we're all devs) -- as it made it very efficient to store and (re)open many bookmarks at once, especially e.g. after a phone restart or app crash etc. Now in v3.12 it's quite tedious to restore bookmarks as the entire bookmarks drawer disappears after each long press.
