Description
DESCRIPTION¶
Under favicons of each tab, show an orb for the number of history count (if possible through native android libraries), so that managing memory by closing that tab in order to not hog SISB fillup.
ALTERNATIVE¶
To achieve this browsing hygiene, currently we need to limit the amount of tabs opened, as well as the favicon history in each tab by accessing History in the sidebar. This feature request tries to enhance the latter.
- Subject changed from Show history count below favicon in tabs to Consider showing the number of entries in the history in the navigation drawer
Showing the history count below the favorite icons would make the interface look too busy. However, it might make sense to display the history count in the navigation drawer, similar to what is done for Requests.
How about an outline around favicon with the divisions ? Would also look visually appealing. The more history count, the more divisions in the outline.
I think that would be incredibly difficult to implement, would look very busy, and wouldn't look good with some favorite icons.
Is it possible to replace tab favicons with history count as an orb ? Such option would be feasible right ?
It also looks consistent throughout the tabs. I actually prefer history count more than favicon itself.
I really like having the favorite icons in the tabs, and I wouldn't be in favor of any number of any sort covering them up or even appearing in the tabs. I think that would look too busy.
I know. But it's more useful than favicons isn't it?
Favicons represent the site's origin. But you can guess it through the title too. History count, helps in clearing the cluttered memory that got accumulated throughout the same tab.
Favorite icons make it easier to identify a tab at a glance. Plus, I really like the way they look. I can’t imagine ever getting rid of them, even though some other browsers have done so.
