Opening a URL in background on long tapping will be useful, if someone wants to open multiple URLs(Similar to Bookmarks behavior in Privacy Browser).

Yes, that is a good idea.

This isn't very high up on my priority list. Right now, almost all effort is going towards Privacy Browser PC. A little work is also going into Privacy Browser Android, but it isn't likely to pick up significantly until after Privacy Browser PC reaches feature parity, which is probably about two years away.

As I consider most of the feature requests in the 3.x series to be more important than this one, it will likely come at some point closer to the end of the end of the 3.x cycle. But it will get done and it will be before the 4.x series starts.

For those who might not already know, on most Android devices it is already possible to double-tap on the URL and then tap the open option to load the URL (see attached screenshot).

This doesn't address the ability to open it in a background tab, and it does take slightly more effort than a single tap, but it is part of the reason why I don't consider this as high a priority as some of the other feature requests.
