Privacy Browser doesn't intend to try to detect all the possible implementations of Tor or I2P. If a user would like to utilize a different implementation, it is easy to do so using the custom proxy settings.

I understand, anyway it doesn't even detect the official app showing the popup. However using custom proxy settings avoids the annoying popup.

It works correctly on my testing device. Specifically, About > Version shows which version of I2P is installed, and selecting I2P as a proxy does not display a dialog.

If I2P is uninstalled, then selecting I2P as the proxy displays the expected dialog.

What does your device show in About > Version?

Seems that only the outdated version 1.70 is detected (which is the one present on fdroid). The actual version on Playstore is 1.8.1 which isn't detected as the screenshots shows.

  • Tracker changed from Bug to Feature
  • Subject changed from i2pd for android is not recognized to Add the Play Store I2P app ID to the list of recognized I2P implementations.
  • Status changed from Closed to New

It looks like the version on the Play Store uses a different app ID (net.i2p.android vs net.i2p.android.router on F-Droid). I should be able to make the detection algorithm work with either one.
