Thank you for that video. I notice that you are clicking on the link and the tap is opening and being automatically switched to the foreground. Are you doing this perchance by holding Ctrl-Shift while clicking? If you right-click on the link and then select either "Open link in new tab" or "Open link in new background tab" does it behave as expected? Also, after the new tab opens, if you click on the URL line edit and hit enter, which reloads the page, are the correct settings applied?

1.- No, in this case I only click a link that I know it will "open in a new tab". I found it in your website.
2.- If I click on the link holding Ctrl or Shift then it works ok, but it shoudn't be this way
3.- Right-click on the link and "Open link in new tab" or "Open link in new background tab" both work ok
4.- If I click on the URL line edit and hit enter, which reloads the page, the problem persists

I don't intentionally create links on stoutner.com that automatically open in a new tab, but somehow I must have done so years ago for these links (there is a little toggle switch on Wordpress that creates them this way). I will leave this link like this for testing until this problem is fixed.
I created bug report #1008 to track this problem. Thanks for reporting it.
For the sake of completeness, can you tell me what version of Qt WebEngine you are running and what Linux distribution you have installed? That theme looks pretty nice.
In my Debian testing system I have the following:
soren@soren-desktop:~$ dpkg -l libqt5webenginewidgets5 Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold | Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/halF-conf/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend |/ Err?=(none)/Reinst-required (Status,Err: uppercase=bad) ||/ Name Version Architecture Description +++-=============================-======================-============-========================================== ii libqt5webenginewidgets5:amd64 5.15.13+dfsg-1~deb12u1 amd64 Web content engine library for Qt - Widget

And thanks a lot for this browser!

At this point I can fully replicate the problem. At first I couldn't because I was always opening the links in a new tab by right-clicking on them (I am so used to doing that I don't even think about it) and I didn't assume that was important until I watched the video.
